Soon I will post Josh and Fynn's music video of these equations for you...
March 15 Today we will be investigating how to find the area of a circle. http://glendalegrade7.wikispaces.com/file/view/8.1+-+8.3+Circles+Notes.doc (see lesson 8.2) March 14
Today we use what we learned from yesterday's investigation on circles (abaout the relationship between Circumference and Diameter) to develop a formula that we can use to find the circumference of a circle.
Just a little reminder from Josh on how to construct circles using different methods.
Then we're going to sing a little song to help us remember :) March 13
A little Circle review song made just for you from JOSH and FYNN (they hope you'll always remember the parts of a circle) ENJOY!!!! :) ;) =<>
Today we are going to discover the relationship between circumference and diameter as we take measurements of various circles.
March 12 Today we practiced constructing circles. We reviewed Circumference, Radius and Diameter.
March 8
Today we will be introduced to Circles and the important parts we will be using this unit.
Our first task is to learn how to draw a great circle using either a compass, paper clip or a string. Please bring your compass to class if you have one in your geometry set.
Then we will work on a guided practice with completely fictitious word problems from the link below: (Disclaimer: What you are about to read is completely fictional except for the parts that aren’t. Any reference to real people or teams dead or alive is coincidental and totally and utterly random. So basically, I just made up the names and stuff from my brain.)
Please study for your Circle Graphs test next week
March 26-30
We are learning about how to interpret and make circle graphs
march 23
Interpreting Circle graphs
March 22
Wrote Unit 8 test on Area and Circumference of Circles
March 21
Today students worked with Mr. Atkinson on Circumference and Area problems in preparation for our unit test
March 20
Today we will look at interpreting circle graphs
March 19
Today we practiced composite problems involving circumference and area of circles.
March 16
Today we will use the equations we discovered for finding Circumference and Area of circles!
Soon I will post Josh and Fynn's music video of these equations for you...
